This is a Wolf Roleplaying Website. We are mainly Intermediate, but we can be Advanced as well. We accept Beginners if they work hard on being good roleplayers, and in time, with effort and determination, they will be. We have great staff and members who are happy to welcome you into the packs!
UPDATES
We are now open, but are in serious need of pack members!
The land beyond the river isn’t an alien one. The wolf packs are there. The trees are silent, the rain is cool., the snow falls in winter and the grass greens in spring. But amongst the wolves are a few surprises.
When wolves of Windsong find themselves being caged ad carted away to a place known only as the “Sanctuary”, the world changes from a place of safety to a world of fear…and adventure. The captives pace their enclosures, waiting for freedom and learning more and more every day. Between rescued dogs roaming around and even more bizarre inhabitants, such as “exotic” canines seeking haven there, they learn of the world beyond their new “home”…

Wolves are being captured by humans, collared, tagged, released…or kept. Pups are being stolen and friends are going missing. But it the humans aren’t the only new threats, or friends it seems.
The Sanctuary, a rescue haven for canines and study center for wolves, takes in wild canines and abandoned ones all the same. The place is over-run with wolves and dogs, with a few coyotes underfoot as well. Occasionally something else appears, such as an “exotic pet” discarded by other humans, or a runaway circus canine like a hyena, perhaps. Their breeding facilities, orphanage, and pens promote research and understanding of the canid world.
The Reservation is human-owned, a place for the “Alpine Pack” to thrive. While they feel they are wild to the bone, this pack is surrounded by walls and observed by their human caretakers, whether they like it or not. They walk the line between being caged and being free, and not everyone is happy with it.
The Outcast Lands are for the packless wolves, the runaways, and the released (or escaped?) Sanctuary inhabitants. Can they find homes before they find destruction, or are they bound to be caught and claimed by the humans?
And the last “free place” is the Wilderness where four packs preside, a mixture of wild wolves, released canines, and even a few rare canids that have found a way to fit in. And while the rival with each other and strive to survive, the constant threat of human interference looms over them.

So the question remains…can anyone survive?

In the shrouded darkness where all beings had lived, life had become unbearable. The heat that had swept over the country had torn apart many cities, clinging to the last drop of water as if it was their life-line. But this had become only the beginning of the perils that they would have to face. From the alienable drought came a fierce blizzard that plagued much of the nation, crushing homes, while dilapidated buildings that held those that were most unfortunate disappeared among the rubble and snow that had been jammed upon the land. It was as if mother Earth was blaming the species for what was happening to the ecosystem, to her brood, to her life.
As the terrors went on, from tragedy to tragedy, the human life upon the country had disappeared altogether, their bones melting within the caked interiors of the Earthen wares, shattering their bones with the force of the gravity, cremating them so that their ancestors could grieve, while still knowing that they had been given a proper burial by the elements. It seemed the land would be forever deserted, that the descendants of the ancestors that waited in joyfulness and sadness for their family to be brought to them, and even those that stayed to haunt the life that they had once tried to live. There seemed to be no species upon here, living, to understand how to bring a society totally obsolete back to its proud nature.
There seemed none, but one. The equines. The equines had traveled back from a southern country, where only the elements had touched but not dominated. They walked through the rubble, danced upon the clear land, and braced themselves for the horrors that seemed in store for them. Because, even though life had been stilled in these parts, Mother Nature was not through just yet. And neither were those that were power-hungry. Could those that held onto bravery and traveled here be able to make it through what they were about to succumb, or will it still be a lost land forever, never to be brought up again?
Welcome to... The Last Equines
Four herds were formed. Breeze Herd and Ocean Herd, the good ones. Shadow Herd and Storm Herd, the evil ones. They will rise up to fight, the light against the dark. Will they finally settle in peace? Or will they destroy each other, the last of their kind?

Re: Stars so Bright (Nina+Midnight) « Result #7 on Jun 28, 2007, 10:37am »
Nina straightened her body, trying to get her emotions in order. She raised her head up to normal height, but her head was still below the level of Midnight's. "I-I'm just so overwhelmed by all of this information, a-and," Nina studdered, not sure what to say next. A sigh escaped her mouth, and she loked pleadingly up at him. Her eyes were begging him to forget, move on, even though she knew he wouldn't. "Let's... go back to camp, okay?" she asked him, her voice gentle. Now that she had told Midnight she loved him, she was very tired. Probably from all that running, she thought.

Roleplaying Guide « Result #8 on Jun 28, 2007, 10:30am »
This site is an intermidiate role playing site. For those of you who don't know what that means, I made this guide. It is still in progress at this point, please be patient as I complete it!!
Intermediate means I, as well as the other members and staff, don't like entire threads like this:
Person 1: "Hi Clara," nina said, Person 2: Hey nina. she said back to her.
That's cheap and lazy. If that's how you roleplay, them find someone else to roleplay with. Seriously. Each of your posts should be AT LEAST 5 sentences. That doesn't include dialouge, or OCC.
Is what you should take up these five non-dialougue sentences with is describing things like where they are,(mountains, plains ect.) Weather (Rain, snow, sunny, windy) your charecter's current appearance. (When I say appearance I don't mean she has gray fur, I mean windblown, sparkling eyes, dirty fur, ect.)
If you do that, you can turn this:
Nina stared into the distance. Into this:
Nina stared frustratedly into the distance, her eyes dull. Her fur hadn't been groomed in days, and it showed in the way her fur was missplaced and each strand was weighed down with dirt. The wind blew powerfully into the clearing, strong enough to blow a smaller wolf of their feet. But Nina stood there, unmoving, the wind not even registering in her brain. Nothing had made sense to her, not since Midnoght had dissapeared. Why would he leave her? He said he loved her, didn't he?
That was shortish for me, but it gets the point across to you. I gave a basic description of the weather, said how Nina loked at the time of post, and threw in a statement about her feelings! I only did a little about her location, but I could've added a lot more!
If you want to know more, feel free to message me!! Or, you could make a post on the roleplaying practice board, where other members will help you improve upion your post! But, if you're not willing to do your part in improving your roleplay and getting it to this level, then please, do all the other members a favor and leave.

"No, never that!" he replied softly but forcefully. "I don't want anyone else! I want you. It doesn't matter what you think. I love you, and I stand by that. Nothing you can do, no matter how mean you try and be, I will always love you. To me, you are the best. Isn't that what love is?" Midnight nudged her gently with his muzzle. Why was this causing Nina so much misery?

Nina listned to Midnight's gentle words, understanding of their meaning washing over her like a wave.(I luvv the ocean) Finally, Nina was able to put a stop to her tears. She looked deep into Midnight's eyes, finding only truth and honesty. "You could've had somone so much better," she whispered, her voice thick with pain. Compared to some of the other she-wolves, she was hideous, why would he love her back. but then what had she wanted him to say, he didn't love her? Her feelings were coming all in a rush, confusing her. did she want Midnight to love her as much as she loved him, or no?
